OPEN SOURCE:-

In 1998 I proposed that Ingrid be developed in front of a live audience into a rewritten version through the unique concept of the Free Software development guidelines.

The inGridX Free Public License encourages you to copy the software and give it away while at the same time stopping others from using predatory pricing to prevent it from remaining free.

  • For those interested in exploring Ingrid further, a full Visual Basic integrated development environment is available. I will also post updates to this discussion list for interesting applications where Ingrid has been used. You can describe here or call me or write with any problems you need fixing.

  • New versions/branches of Ingrid include:-

  • Improved 3 dimensional Graphics to display 3 components on the screen at one time. DONE!
  • Zoom and Rotate to explore grids further. DONE!
  • Flexible transformations of LP objective data into graded assessments including links to other systems. DONE! I'm currently interested in obtaining links to the DiSC instruments. There is already a test link to Enquire Within.
  • Specific interpretation text and methodologies. DONE!

  • The Ingrid software will need to satisfy the motives of developers who have interests in statistics, constructivism, Associated Intelligence and Visual Basic.

Ingrid has got lots and lots of interesting challenges to:-

  •   Use the inGridX package to cluster values.
  •   develop a parallel continuous response measurement version.         See:- Information Integration Theory.    http://www.cogsci.soton.ac.uk/py104/anderson.every.html
  •   appropriately politicize the feedback.
  •   develop wide applications.
  •   provide value added streams.
  • I would like to see the likes of the Freenet web application developed as underware for my Ingrid concepts. Stage one will soon be delivered as an Associated Intelligence screen saver acting in a compression processing mode.

I was previously confused between the terms compression processing and parallel processing until inGridX 1.0.3 added a jitter-free hill climbing system monitor. The monitor is presently Read Only but will soon join up globally as music content kaleidoscopically streams MP3 eigen-vectors.

Before starting to develop a compression version, I presented the following point by point plan to modernize the code. My work-in-progress all along was to:-
  •  Work with Ingrid98.6 VBDOS code - Ingrid98.f final release. DONE!
  •  Convert vbdos to vb5.0 doing renaming and REMing out the UI. - DONE!
  •  Going back to the vbdos code and make preparatory changes. DONE!
  •  Build Ingrid99  keeping in mind a VBA for Excel UI. DONE!
  •  Upgrade to Visual Studio 6.0 to add Rich Text formatting and language support, etc.
